Family Reunion

The cabin is always such fun! There was not a lull in the day this time with all the "Minute to Win It" games, the great road rally, and the traditional games of volleyball, capture the flag, and water balloon volleyball, etc.

The kids all play so well with each other. I am so glad Thomas and Keira had the chance to play for so long with Avery....

...and Austin

Thomas especially loved the glow in the dark skull Kevin used for matching up teams for the big hunt

Kevin and Caroline had a great kids treasure hunt which each child was able to keep something fun

I wish I had a video of all the excitement from the road rally Kevin has been working on all year. His hunt took us all around the mountain from Duck Creek where we had to tip a "Hot Mama" to Mammoth Springs where we had to fill a bucket on a see-saw with water by using a bucket full of holes to make the bucket full of rocks on the other end rise. We had to rest and eat at a picnic area and decipher codes. The final treasure was this big pile of "gold" at the neighbor's cabin. We had some great competition, a little wild as Jay would block us in or us discovering we went the wrong way and had to quickly turn around. It was a close race. Well done Kevin and Caroline!

Love the message!

This is our treasure:)

Jay got 4-wheelers, so we all had a great time cruising around in them. I was perfectly content just riding in back.

Thomas got to ride, and loved it of course

And Maquel took Keira around the block

The last little bit of fun for the kids were these glow-in-the-dark lanterns. My flash ruined the glow but it was so fun for the kids, and these were the flags for the Capture the Flag game.

It was wonderful seeing everyone. Hopefully next time we will be able to have Becca and Jimmy, and Becky and Joel there too. I love my family!

Summer Days

It's hard to believe summer is almost over. It's certainly been a different and more stressful summer than what I am used to, but I made sure to have fun with the kids too. And for me too, as I have taken up zumba as well, but only about once a month. Love it, though.

Natalie had an excellent idea of making calzones (or Thomas just wanted pizza). They loved creating their own!

When we weren't able to go to the Payson pool, we pulled out the blow-up pool for them to jump around in

PIONEER DAY - our first time attending a parade for Pioneer Day. This time, in Mapeton.

It's very difficult to get a normal smile out of Thomas

Some of the amazing floats. They cracked me up, though...only in Utah

S'more dessert. Yum! It was a little rainy so we made s'mores by stove fire.
Natalie told Thomas to see how many marshmallows he could fit in his mouth. I can't remember how many actually fit, but here is his chubby cheeks;)

Keira didn't care for the sparklers

Last week, Mom and Andy had a work party - 50s theme. There were carnival games, big balloon slides, swing dancers, and lots of yummy food. The kids treated themselves to giant cotton candy servings. We enjoyed their party! Thanks guys!
