Finishing the summer with a Bang!

It's been a bit of a whirlwind since I got back from my trip in Canada, so let's play catch up.

Jared and the Bunker bunch made a road trip through Utah visiting families. While they were visiting us we decided to go on a hike up Mt Timpanogos to see the caves.I've always heard how neat that was to do, and it was perfect that I had people to go with. We didn't get our tickets in time so we had to wait a couple hours. So we had a picnic in the mountains then went bowling to kill time. Great cousin binding time!

Finally got to do the hike. I worried about this with the kids, especially Keira, but it was so good for them to see Jared's kids do it to. I was so proud of all them! It was a tough hike, but so beautiful!

Pictures inside don't do it justice. Most turned out too dark, so they didn't get posted. I loved the caves, though-it was huge!

That weekend we headed off to the cabin for our family reunion. The deer are getting more brave every year. Even with all us there, they wandered over (even about 12 of them one time) to get some food. So neat!

Fun family games! We had a great time playing baseball, even when it rained on us, we played water balloon volleyball, and "beach ball" volleyball.

The kids played the donut game - no hands! So funny to watch them try:)

Of course, feeding the chipmunks

Here's the gang that made it! Missed those that couldn't come - love all my family!

They're being so good with each other at this moment:)

That was the end of my summer. The morning after I got back from the reunion, I had 5 interview in one day - plus work. Ended up getting a job that night. I had a week 3 days to get everything organized before Kindergarten pre-assessments. It was crazy, but I made it! Hope everyone had a great summer!

My Trip to Canada

I had the opportunity to go to B.C. Canada, so I took it. It was a nice break from the routine of job hunting and interviews. Unfortunately, nothing has worked out yet- it has been pretty discouraging, but I expected the competitiveness of it. Anyway, some of Bryce's family lives in Chilliwack about an hour away from Vancouver, BC, and he is there right now with them. So here's a little of what we did together:

He took me to a fun football game (it's a summer sport there)

Saw the Vancouver Temple. Small but beautiful! Too bad it was closed for maintenance or he would have had me go through

Frasier River. There are so many rivers and lakes around-gorgeous!

We picnicked and swam at the lake by his dad's house

His little nieces and nephew always wanted to play with me

Sunday after church
We also went on a few nice hiking trails right by the house that made it feel you were right in the woods-picked berries along the way, and he took me to a few Canadian restaurants-Swiss Chalet and Tim Hortons. I had a great time! The weather was beautiful, the company was perfect, I felt very welcome from he and his family, and it was nice of Bryce to show me around and experience some more of BC.

A few days after my trip, I was able to take the kids to see Mary Poppins in West Valley. Mike was going to take them but ended up having to work so he let me take them.

The show was amazing! Always loved seeing musicals!
